Hello all! We just wanted to let you know we won’t be at the Moss St. Market today June 1st.
But you can pick up your fresh tortillas at our Norte location at 1308 Gladstone ave. in Fernwood.

Today on special we have our classic Beef Cheeks Barbacoa! And Chicharron en salsa verde!

Moss Street Paint In

Yesterday was the famous Moss Street Paint in.  The annual Victoria Art Gallery fundraiser. We met many wonderful people at our booth.  Thanks to everyone who stopped by and talked to us.  We had a great helper out there handing out samples on Moss street, bringing in a ton of people.  Thanks Dwayne!  We sold out by 3:15.  Anyone who didn’t get any tortillas can find us today at the Bastion Square Market on Langley st.  from 11-4pm.

Also we would like to thank all the volunteers and organizers of Taste.  We were there as a part of the VDPMS mini farmers market.  There was so much great food and wine from our local producers.  I didn’t know how much great wine we had on the southern end of the island.  The whole beast’s tasting really stood out .  Thanks again to everyone from Taste.

We would like to remind people to send us pictures of the food they make with our tortillas.  We take pictures everyday of the food we make and are working on a little project.  We will hook you up if you do.

Also sprinkle Nutritional Yeast for an extra boost..

Add sprouts, mustard greens, avocado, choose your favourite colours and flavours!

We all love BBQs in the summer!! What better way to enjoy it than with yummy Corn tortillas on the BBQ? Keep them soft, or make your Tostadas and enjoy them with Guacamole, Salsas, Sausages, Beef, Chicken, Grilled on the BBQ Poblano Peppers, or other tasty chiles & Vegetables, Cheese, anything!

ByeBye Winter. Hello Spring!

We are sad to announce that Tortilleria Monterrey will be away and will not be at the last Winter VDPMS Market on March 17th. If you would like some tortillas before March 12th , feel free to contact us and we will deliver ! We will be back to work on march 25th.

We look forward to seeing you in the next season. You will be able to find our fresh tortillas at different Farmer’s Markets through out the city! Including Moss St. Market, VDPMS on Wednsday afternoons, and Sunday Market at Bastion Square!

FRESH TORTILLAS

Hello Victoria!

Tortilleria Monterrey is now delivering fresh tortillas to your door (like it used to be when I was younger back in Mexico). Tortilla Ladies used to go door to door with fresh tortillas, memorizing how many tortillas were in a kilo, half a kilo, or  even just how many tortillas would 5 pesos be? (That was 20 years ago). In some places they might still do that, but in MOST they don’t. Another lost thing, thanks to BIG Corporations.

I miss and love Mexico so much, and that is why I want to keep the tradition and culture alive here in Victoria B.C. Hoping that this effort will some how reach the heart of my beautiful country in waves of positive energy for those affected by the nonsense war against human beings.

So, I want to come to your door and deliver fresh tortillas so you can experience the real deal without going to Mexico or back in time.

If you can’t make it to the Market this Saturday on Market Square, I will be delivering fresh tortillas TODAY Thursday February 2nd, in all areas of Victoria: James Bay, DT, Fairfield, Oak Bay, Esquimalt & Saanich area.
